Even Numbers & Odd Numbers  By Aashish Gupta Sir              Class 1 & 2          Even Numbers Numbers which are exactly divisible by 2 , are called Even Numbers.  Even numbers have 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 at their ONE'S place. Example -   1 8   , 4 0 , 5 4 , 7 2 , 5 6 etc. Odd Numbers Numbers which are not  exactly divisible by 2 , are called Odd  Numbers.  Odd numbers have 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 at their ONE'S place. Example -  1 9 , 2 7 , 3 3 , 4 5 ,  7 1 etc. How to check a numbers for Even or Odd Example 1. Check whether 57 is even or odd. Step 1 : One's digit in 57 is 7. Step 2 : We know that  one's digit in odd number should be 1,3,5,7 or 9. Step 3 : Here one's digit is 7. So we can say that 57 is an odd number. Example 2. Check whether 56 is even or odd.
